Develop an efficient Social Marketing strategy in order to grow your social media followers & business leads


Social media marketing can sometimes be overwhelming. There are a huge number of platforms to choose from these days, and endless strategies for growing your followers, likes, and shares.

I went through all of that, spending days and nights reading endless blogs and books, and trying many strategies. Because of this experience, I will keep things simple and effective in order to help you to increase the return of your marketing investment and time and to guide all of you to achieve the highest possible number of followers in the short time.

Action 1: Get social


First of all you need to create your social profiles.

Among all the social networks out there, I would suggest to create a profile in all the following ones, no one excluded.

All of them: Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook fan page, YouTube channel, Pinterest, an internet web page that you need to use as landing page

You might wonder why I recommend to get in every social and I was assuring you that I was wondering the same thing when I started my digital journey. Is it not enough to post a nice picture in Instagram? Or in Facebook, or in the home page of LinkedIn?

Well, what if people in your audience have been busy and did not open their social networks? They would have lost your post because the home page of the platform would have just push it down the page giving space to more recent posts. Or, maybe, your potential audience just use another social network: you are trying to reach a B2B decision maker, or a B2C customers, but this or that person is not using that particular platform. Maybe you posted in Instagram, but he-she is mostly using Twitter.

That’s it. Your post will never been seen.

Because of the simple example just mentioned above, the first recommendation that I give is to open a social account in each and every social network possible, in order to help the Leads to find you, to see you, no matter when or where.

Action 2: The Groups. Join and create them


I’m about to mention a life-changing concept: connect to the groups.

Imagine to post something on the home page of your personal LinkedIn profile where you have 2000 contacts. And now imagine to post it on the home page of one group having 50.000 followers: the time required to do the action (to write your post and to upload it) is the same, but the potential result and the number of potential visibilities of this action is 50.000 more.

Moreover, the majority of the 50.000 followers of the group might also receive an email with the message that you have post something new in the group.

Someone might argue that we are not sure of how many people in the groups would see the advertisement, that is correct, but let’s just think at how much more likely is that one person (a potential followers, a potential Lead and a future potential customer ) see the post among 50.000 people then he or she would it see it among only 2000 people that maybe are not even opening that particular social platform that day.






Action 3: Connect all the social between themselves


Because our target is to get the highest number of followers and visibility possible, and most important to transform the audience and lead in real buying customers or followers, it is important that we spread our post or advertisement in each channel. It is important to be seen, to be heard, to be everywhere.

What you have to do is very simple:

- post the advertisement in the home page of one of your social networks

- in the description write the link of all your other social networks such as the address in the YouTube channel where can be seen an extended version of the post, your contact details (email), the link of your web site and landing page.

Doing this it will be created a huge amount of traffic on all your social profiles, increasing the probability that one potential lead will press the connect button, give you his email (after having agreed on the privacy policy) and, even better, that will share your post among his own followers.






Action 4: Tag your Colleagues and Industry stakeholders


If you work close with some client or friend, and this person share your same interests, a good ideas would be to TAG her, or him, in your post, in order for all his followers to see your post and to potentially suggest them to add YOU among the person that they are following.

If we look at the LinkedIn post, you can do this tagging your colleagues or managers, in order for all their followers to see you and your post.

At the time of writing the book I’ve been suggesting to all the Country managers worldwide working for my same Group to tag each other of us every time that we posting a company advertisement. The total combined number of followers reached with this action is just countless.

The result in terms of visibility, lead generation, time saving in the social platform would be tremendous: if a manager at the other side of the Planet is posting an article or adv and tag you, all your followers will see that adv and the awareness of the brand in your Region will be improved even more.

It might be a simple suggestion. But how many of us have been doing it so far?

In my business experience I’ve notice that one person is usually posting something is LinkedIn to show his own name in the platform. Just imagine how much more visibility for your name and for your brand you will get if you start to tag all your colleagues.

You will get an enormous visibility with zero cost.

Globally.

It is a win-win situation: they have saved time because their followers have seen my post. And You will gain visibility among their followers.
